Help to start or grow a business here — money, advice, permits, hiring — gathered in one place.
Find help →Running a business here shouldn't mean figuring everything out on your own.
There may be people and programs that can help. Tell us what you need — you don't need to know who to ask, or what the program is called.
Type it the way you'd say it.
The lenders themselves and the programs they run. Most federal and state money reaches Trinity through a local lender rather than directly, so the organization you apply to is listed here alongside the program.
Free one-to-one advisors, workshops, and programs for specific groups.
The organizations that fund, convene and refer. Useful if you are making a referral rather than looking for help yourself.
Filing a DBA, forming an entity, and the industry-specific permitting that general advisors do not cover.
Countywide and town-level chambers. Largely volunteer-run.
Recruiting help and money that reimburses you for training staff.
Getting found and getting customers — free marketing advising from the SBDCs, and the chamber that hosts the county's tourism website.
Outdoor recreation, and agriculture.
The tips in these sections come from the organizations listed, in their words. If you run one and have something a Trinity business owner should hear, tell us and we’ll add it.
Everything here can be used by a Trinity County business — that's the rule for being listed. This is a prototype: every listing was checked against that organization's own site August 27, 2026, and each one shows its own date. Check anything time-sensitive yourself, because deadlines, rates and phone numbers move between checks. It isn't complete, and everything here about an organization comes from them — most of it quoted from their own site with a link to the page it came from, some of it what they told us directly, shown with the date. We don't describe anyone's organization in our own words, so an entry shows what they say rather than everything they do. If this is your organization and we've got something wrong, or you know of help that isn't here, tell us and we'll fix it.
